Kathmandu Model College located at Bagbazar was established in 2003. Kathmandu Model College runs undergraduate and graduate level programs like BBA, BBS, BSW and Masters level like MBS and MBA. The current Bachelor in Computer Application program is four years. The college is part of KMC educational network the faculty members are renowned and qualified educators with utmost education.
Kathmandu Model College is well equipped with computer lab, modern equipment, comfortable class rooms, playing grounds, library and entrepreneurship incubation lab. The BCA program is classified in computer application courses, elective courses, mathematical courses, language courses, social science and management courses and project work and internship. The core courses are 3 credit hours each. Internship 6 credit hours. The BCA graduates can apply in government and private jobs at various positions like system analyst, network administrators, software developers, IT officers etc in corporate and IT industries.
Learning Management system at Kathmandu Model College helps personalize learning by putting course related resources and assessments in one system that can be easily accessed. For eligibility students must have passed Plus 2 with 2.0 CGPA and D+ in all the subjects in any stream. They must sit for entrance test conducted by Tribhuvan University and interviewed for selection. Students must pass the entrance exam to secure a place for admission which is on merit basis.
