Thames International College was established in the year 2000. It is located at Baneshwor. This College consists of three schools namely. School of Business and Technology, School of Social Sciences and Center for Continuing Education. Under the two principle schools it runs various Bachelors level programs such as Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Computer Application, Bachelor in Information Management. Social Science courses such as Bachelor in Social Work, Bachelor in rural development, Bachelor in Sociology, Bachelor in Journalism and Mass Communication and in education faculty Bachelor in Business Studies, Bachelor in Political Science and Masters in Business Studies for post graduation.
Bachelor of Computer Application is four years eight semesters program affiliated to Tribhuvan University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science. BCA at Thames College provides wide understandings of society, management, mathematics, economics and statistics. The courses is divided into General Education Courses 30 credit hours, Computer Application courses 84 credit hours, Practicum Training 13 credit hours. Students can choose any four elective subjects of their choice of 12 credit hours.
For admission students have to get admission forms from office of administrations or can apply online. Submit application form with processing fees of Rs.1000 and at the submission students have to book a date for Thames Aptitude test which students have to pass for getting a spot for admission for fresh intake of BCA program.
BCA graduates have wide range of career opportunities as Software developers, Programmers, IT officer, Lecturer etc. in IT, Manufacturing and E-Commerce business and works for government and private jobs both.
