NIMS College is located at Lagankhel, Lalitpur. It was established in 2007. It was founded by academicians and community leaders and in 2018 NIMS College had a new management team with highly reputed professionals in different field of research and education in Nepal. The College has been providing BSW, BBS, BCA, MBS, MA Sociology program. The students are groomed in the capable hands of qualified teachers. They also have good facility and learning resources, extra co-curricular activities and personality development, career counselling and placement support groups to channel students to their life purpose at NIMS College.
BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) was recently launched by Tribhuvan University. It is a fresh program of four years, eight semesters. The program was launched in 2074/75 B.S. with an objective of producing qualified software developers having wide range of knowledge on technical fields. It comprises of computer application courses, mathematical courses, language, Management and Social Science courses, project works and internships. The BCA graduates emerge as Programmers, software developers,system analyst, system managers, project managers, database administrators, IT officers, back-end officers etc. in Software, IT, Manufacturing and E-Commerce enterprises.
Students can also choose to study Masters level as in MCA,MIT, MBA. BCA program is a inter-relative subject between Management and Information Technology. Students who have completed Plus2, PCL or equivalent with D+ in all subjects and minimum 2.0 CGPA can apply for BCA at NIMS College.
