BCA( Bachelor of Computer Applications) is four years eight semesters academic program of Faculty of Humanities and Social Science Tribhuvan University. The objective of this program is to produce high end computer users and developers. It is a interdisciplinary subject of Management and Information technology. The academic year begins on February Spring semester and September Fall semester each year.
Students who have completed intermediate level , Plus 2, PCL or equivalent in any discipline with minimum 2.0 CGPA OR 45 percent marks can apply for BCA. They have to fill and submit application form and appear entrance test taken by Tribhuvan University. The candidates will be selected on merit basis of their entrance exam and performance of 11 and 12. For BCA program 40 percent is internal evaluation and 60 percent is external evaluation. The total credit is 126 credit hours with project works and internships in the partial completion of BCA program under Tribhuvan University.
BCA graduates can work as software developers, IT officers, system analyst, web designers or join Masters level like MCA, MIT, MBA of their choice.
