Himalaya College of Engineering is located at Lalitpur. It is affiliated to Tribhuvan University. This College was established in 2000 June. It aims to provide quality engineering education and produce quality engineering graduates. Himalaya College of Engineering offers Bachelors level programs like BE in Computer, Electronics and Communication, BSc.CSIT and BCA programs of Tribhuvan University.
The College also conducts teaching learning processes, seminar and workshops, field visits as part of their education and training for the students. BCA (Bachelor in Computer Applications) is a four year academic program of Tribhuvan University with perfect combination of IT and Management. This program started in 2075 B.S. Students can study Computer Applications, Programming, Sytem Analysis and design, Java, software engineering with fundamentals of Management and Economics so that they can work effectively in the set up of Corporate companies and IT industries in Nepal. This degree is recognized world wide.
To be eligible the students must pass the entrance examination conducted by IOE. They must have secured 45 percent in IOE or Plus 2 science or diploma in Engineering and fill up online application form for two hours test. Students selection is made on merit basis on their marks in Plus 2 and entrance exam to be shortlisted in first semester BCA new intake.
